BTD-200 Lightning Warning System
The BTD-200 Lightning Warning System is a complete, standalone sensor that detects the presence of all forms of lightning within a range of up to 35 km. The model is suitable for outdoor activities and ideal for smaller facilities or areas where many people gather for sports, concerts, in parks, or similar.
With the messaging platform Lightning Works Messenger, you have the option to send lightning warnings via SMS to selected individuals, such as organizers, managers, and area managers, who, with its reliable and accurate detections, can warn of upcoming risks of lightning strikes up to 20 minutes before it happens. This provides time to warn staff and participants in the area about the risks of staying outdoors in the area.
BTD-300 & BTD-350 Thunderstorm Detection
The BTD-300 and BTD-350 Thunderstorm Detector can detect and warn of thunderstorms within a radius of up to 45 nautical miles (83 km). All types of lightning and thunder (cloud-to-ground, cloud-to-cloud, intra-cloud) are detected and alerted as quickly as five seconds after monitoring. The high sensitivity and fast alerting provide the maximum possible warning time for local thunderstorm development, and with the unique monitoring techniques, you as a user get an extremely low rate of false alarms.
The BTD-300 and BTD-350 are suitable for aviation, wind energy, general meteorology, maritime and offshore operations, as well as offshore aviation. Generally, the BTD-300 is preferred for general purposes in the broad industry, as well as in aviation, wind energy, and meteorology, while the BTD-350, due to its more robust design, is particularly suitable for maritime environments.
