DEX-K 2K wooden sleeper LTE system
DEX-K extends the lifespan of a wooden sleeper by 35% and significantly reduces maintenance.
When wooden sleepers give way or break completely, it can be costly and time-consuming. With DEX-K 2K, you can extend the lifespan of wooden sleepers in a gentle manner. New sleeper bolts are cast into the dex-k mixture and bind the elements, so you don’t need to remove rails or existing sleepers.
Level Crossing system
Level Crossing System (LCS) is a system developed by edilon)(sedra. LCS is used to create crossings for heavy traffic without damaging the rails. This is done by casting the rails into a concrete foundation bound with corkelast. This solution eliminates the use of sleepers and sleeper bolts. LCS withstands the crossing of thousands of vehicles without major maintenance.
Embedded Rail System
Corkelast® Embedded Rail System (ERS) is edilon)(sedra’s answer to a maintenance-free solution for railways. With ERS, the rail itself is cast in polymer, thereby eliminating the need for bolts, clamps, clips, etc. The first tram with ERS (Roode Vaart, Rotterdam) ran for 39 years without service on the rails.
Corkelast® is a polymer mixture of two compounds. The solution is very similar to epoxy resin and works by binding the concrete foundation with the rails. This removes the need for other mechanical parts and minimizes the need for maintenance.
Urban Slab Track System
The USTS design is the combination of ERS & LCS. The solution is ideal for projects where you want to reduce rail handling and traffic blockage. Several concrete elements can be assembled beforehand and thus delivered together, ready for installation. A solution that is pre-assembled will distribute the horizontal weight more evenly than traditional rails. Additionally, the chance of the rails breaking is significantly lower.
