Measurement and calibration
In industry, research and regulated sectors, accurate measurements are the foundation for everything else: quality control, process optimisation, regulatory compliance and safety. Hans Buch helps you ensure that your instruments measure what they claim to measure – and that you have the documentation to prove it.
An instrument’s accuracy is only as good as its last calibration
Correct calibration ensures that measuring instruments deliver accurate and traceable measurement results throughout their service life. It reduces the risk of measurement errors, supports quality management and helps companies comply with documentation requirements and applicable standards.
When is calibration necessary?
We offer calibration with traceability to national and international standards (SI units). You receive documentation that can be used in quality management systems and during audits.
With a service agreement, we take care of scheduling, collection, calibration and return of the equipment at regular intervals, making calibration an integral part of maintenance.
On-site calibration Not all equipment can be sent away. We offer calibration at your premises to minimise disruption to production.
Validation and documentation For regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals and food, we provide documentation packages for IQ/OQ processes and audit trails.
Types of instruments we calibrate
- Pressure transmitters and pressure gauges
- Temperature measuring instruments, thermocouples and Pt100
- Humidity sensors
- Flow meters
- Level meters
- Data loggers and transmitters
When should an instrument be calibrated?
The calibration interval depends on the instrument type, application and measurement accuracy requirements. Instruments used in production, laboratories or regulated environments should be calibrated at regular intervals or in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. Calibration may also be necessary after repairs, mechanical impact or if deviations in measurements are suspected.
