Choose the right gas detector and prevent accidents

When gases become a safety risk

Gas detection is about choosing equipment that suits the specific task. Some tasks only require the measurement of one particular gas, while other environments require several gases to be measured at the same time. It is therefore important to consider the work situation, gases, battery needs and required features before choosing a gas detector.

Four gas detectors for different needs

Crowcon offers several types of gas detectors to meet different needs. Crowcon Clip is a simple single-gas detector with one sensor and a fixed battery life of approximately two years. It is available for oxygen, hydrogen sulphide and carbon monoxide detection and is well suited to service technicians who only occasionally need gas detection. Crowcon Gasman is also a single-gas detector, but is available in 33 different variants and can be supplied with either a fixed-life battery or a rechargeable battery. Crowcon T4 is a multi-gas detector that can handle two, three or four gases at a time. Crowcon Gas Pro is the largest model and can accommodate up to five sensors.

How to choose the right solution

The right choice depends primarily on how many gases you need to measure and how the detector will be used day to day. If you only need to measure one gas, a single-gas detector may be sufficient. If you work in environments where several gases may be present, a multi-gas detector may be more suitable. If you need to measure gas levels in confined spaces, tanks or wells before entering the area, Crowcon Gas Pro with a built-in pump may be the right solution.

  • Choose Crowcon Clip for simple and occasional single-gas measurement
  • Choose Crowcon Gasman if you need a wider range of single-gas variants
  • Choose Crowcon T4 if you need to measure several gases in, for example, wastewater treatment plants, waterworks or biogas plants
  • Choose Crowcon Gas Pro if you need up to five sensors or gas samples from confined spaces

Better safety starts with the right equipment

A gas detector must suit both the risk and the workflow. When the equipment matches the task, it becomes easier to detect dangerous gas levels in time and work more safely in environments where toxic or flammable gases may be present.
