Evac® ROSYS reverse osmosis systems are reliable freshwater production systems with capacities ranging from 20 to 1,200 m³ per day. Evac specialises in bespoke RO systems that can be optimally integrated into the available space on board.
Rosys operation
The pre-treatment process, based on multimedia filters, is designed for low maintenance and minimal membrane cleaning, ensuring an extended service life. Evac’s reverse osmosis technology is flexible and suitable for both new builds and upgrades to existing freshwater systems – including marine applications.
The complete solution includes design, engineering, delivery, after-sales support and optimisation to ensure stable and efficient system operation.

Features
- Material strength: Seawater-resistant duplex steel pipes
- Long service life: Automatic flushing for longer membrane life
- Global support: Fast service and access to spare parts worldwide
- Reliable production: Stable and reliable freshwater production
- Efficient solution: Tailored and energy-efficient design
- User-friendly operation: Intuitive controls tailored to specific needs
- Continuous operation: Automatic backwashing without interrupting production
HEM® Hydrophore System
Designed with advanced technology, the HEM® system ensures a stable water supply with a minimal footprint and easy installation. The system is built from corrosion-resistant materials, uses multistage pumps and has built-in redundancy for continuous operation in the event of component failure.

Features
- Compact design with a minimal footprint
- Quick and easy installation with two hydraulic couplings and one electrical connection
- Flexible connections via a manifold (left/right)
- Made from 316 stainless steel in all wetted parts
- Reliable multistage pumps with corrosion-resistant bearings
- Available as a stand-alone or modular system
Operating principle
Variable frequency drives ensure smooth water pressure control, reduce pressure surges (water hammer) and minimise the need for large pressure vessels. Automatic alternation of the main pumps ensures even wear, while multiple levels of redundancy guarantee continuous operation – even if individual components fail.

The defence and security industry often operates under harsh and changing conditions, where equipment must be robust, durable and reliable. At the same time, there is a need for ongoing upgrades and solutions that can work with existing systems and other specialist suppliers. Integration capability and adaptability are therefore key requirements when implementing new technical solutions.
Technologies that enhance safety in practice
Safety needs can cover everything from personal safety to navigation and visibility in challenging environments. Handheld gas detectors from Crowcon can provide rapid alerts in the event of hazardous gas leaks, helping to protect personnel in high-risk areas. LED lighting can also improve operational reliability in harsh environments where impacts, vibrations, dust and liquids place high demands on equipment. In addition, weather stations and obstruction lights can contribute to safe travel on land, at sea and in the air by providing reliable data and clearly marking potential hazards.

How to choose a solution that suits the environment
The right choice depends on the risks and operating conditions the solution needs to address. When working in high-risk areas, rapid alerts and proper maintenance are essential, making gas detection and service agreements relevant considerations. In harsh operating environments, lighting should be selected based on requirements for robustness, service life and energy efficiency. For transport and navigation, it is important to establish the need for real-time data, visibility and compliance with applicable obstruction lighting regulations. A good solution therefore takes into account the environment, the application and integration into the overall safety setup.
- Choose solutions designed for harsh and operationally critical environments
- Prioritise equipment that can be integrated into existing safety systems
- Use gas detection where personnel may be exposed to hazardous gases
- Consider LED lighting when robustness and energy efficiency are important
- Include weather stations and obstruction lights when safe navigation and clear marking are needed
- Factor in servicing, calibration and maintenance from the outset
The advantage of bringing safety together in a well-designed solution
When technical safety solutions are selected with a focus on application, integration and maintenance, it becomes easier to maintain a high level of safety over time. This applies to personnel in hazardous areas, installations with stringent visibility requirements, and transport environments where data and signalling are crucial. An integrated approach provides a stronger foundation for stable, future-proof solutions in critical functions.
