With Hans Buch’s large quality portfolio, we secured the order for Split Water Nordic’s unique application, which ensures effective water purification of pesticides and PFAS centrally at water supply facilities and decentralised in construction of new buildings.

Split Water Nordic is a scalable and flexible solution for water treatment

Hans Buch’s wide range of technical solutions has given Split Water Nordic the opportunity to put together a program of components and products from one supplier solely, where the quality, customer service and delivery times are unrivaled.

Split Water Nordic’s concept is a scalable application for both central and local water purification. The scalable concept means that the solution can be adapted to everything from larger, central water supplies to smaller, local projects with new construction of apartment buildings.

The application is also space-saving and energy-saving compared to competing solutions, and thus, the concept enjoys great interest and demand, which, in addition to the customisation options, provides an effective purification of pesticides and PFAS.

The challenge: One sole supplier for a total solution with European components

Split Water Nordic was looking for a central solution for the supply of products and components that could reduce the number of suppliers for the many different technologies used in the application. Here the choice has fallen on solutions from Hans Buch’s categories within, among others, pumps, instrumentation and valves.

At the same time, the selection had to be of high quality, and here Hans Buch’s multifaceted areas of expertise and wide quality range have become the best solution to the customer’s demand. In addition, the requirement is that the components are produced locally or regionally with European manufacturers and suppliers.

– At Split Water Nordic, we have focused on good and durable components in the entire process chain. We know Hans Buch as a stable supplier and with a priority of quality products that can be scaled according to our needs, explains project manager at Split Water Nordic, Alex-Sander Martin Christensen, and adds:

– In addition, we focus on the components contributing to our application being space- and energy-optimising, so we went for products that have high performance in the least possible space and with the least possible energy consumption.

The solution: A unique combination with a complete range from Hans Buch

Hans Buch’s complete range of components has ensured a solution where Split Water Nordic only needs to go to one place for a number of components that make up vital parts of the application.

The range consists exclusively of products from European suppliers and includes among others:

Pump systems by SAER

Italian SAER Elettropompe S.p.A. is Hans Buch’s supplier of pump technology and has supplied monoblock type IR incl. motors.

Instrumentation by KOBOLD

From German KOBOLD Messring GmbH, Hans Buch has supplied a number of different instrumentation technologies for the application: Flow and level meters, transmitters and switches, as well as pressure, pH, temperature and turbidity.

Valves by OMAL

Italian OMAL is the manufacturer behind the stainless valves that Hans Buch has supplied for Split Water Nordic’s water treatment application with electric actuators.

This case is one example of many where Hans Buch helps customers with unique solutions by providing technical guidance and combining products and components from our skilled specialists, explains CCO and division director of Hans Buch Industri, Rasmus Pedersen.

– Our deliveries to Split Water Nordic, where we have brought our wide technical knowledge and assortment into play in the concept phase, provide the customer with a total solution for a unique concept that we are proud to be a part of. We are delighted to see the growth that Split Water Nordic has, and we look forward to the continued, close collaboration, he says.

The result: A seemless scalable solution with fast deliveries of stock items

The result is a unique composition of Hans Buch’s quality range for an application that challenges the market with more efficient purification with less water waste, and which uses 70 % less space than conventional solutions.

The collaboration between Hans Buch and Split Water Nordic has led to a complete product portfolio for the customer from one sole supplier with good customer service and fast deliveries from stock items.

– We went for a supplier who could offer us a complete range of products for what constitutes our unique application for water purification systems, Alex-Sander Martin Christensen says.

– Hans Buch’s expertise, good customer service and fast delivery times make them a stable and good business partner for us. We experience a quick response and fast delivery times for the products we demand, and this enables us to deliver our finished concepts to customers both in Denmark and abroad, he concludes.

Perspective: Swedish project sets a new standard for new constructions

Split Water Nordic’s application finds its place in the efforts for solutions that contribute to climate and environmental emissions. The company has delivered a complete solution for the Swedish project Rewaise, which is supported by the European Union’s research and innovation program Horizon 2020 for inspiration throughout the European Union.

In Sweden in particular, new legislation is on the way that sets requirements for the collection and use of surface water in new buildings. Split Water Nordic’s concept is installed locally under the apartment building for purification and use as secondary water for, e.g., bath and toilet flush.
